People Places Founder, Frank Starkey, kicked off our reboot of Talk About Town, a popular community discussion series that educates, informs, and provides an opportunity for community members to get involved in local revitalization efforts.

It has been two years since the pandemic put Talk About Town on hold and in that time we, collectively, discovered just how important human connection really is. It also became evident just how much open public spaces play a major roll in making that possible, even under those circumstances. With this in mind, Talk About Town has a renewed emphasis on the design and activation of the public realm.

Since it has been some time now and we have many new people living in our community now, we thought a refresher on Urban Design principles would be a great way to kick off the discussion!
