Urban visionary Jane Jacobs once observed “new ideas require old buildings.” That is why Frank Starkey chose to embed his company in an old building in the heart of New Port Richey’s historic district. People Places occupies an historic building that once housed the Avery Library. With all its structure exposed – reclaimed (in the 1940s!) wood roof, brick walls, concrete floors, and even old window frames – the building itself tells many stories of the town’s layered history and daily reminds us of the uniqueness of this place. We left the interior open and flexible to foster creativity and to accommodate a variety of gatherings, events and activities. The office has been freshened up with new paint colors and has become the home of The Central on Orange Lake Leasing Office in addition to People Places, LLC.
